The Programme on Exchanges of Economic and Political Ideas since 1760 was started in 2005 and was the initial basis for the collaboration between scholars at Cambridge and at Harvard in what is now the Joint Centre for History and Economics. It was made possible by a generous grant to the University of Cambridge from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

There was a programme of small research grants for graduate students. Details of the workshops and seminars over the period of the programme, which continued until 2009, are also available here.
