Robert Yee is a PhD student in history at Princeton University, where he is advised by Professors Harold James and Sir David Cannadine. He specializes in the economic history of Europe, specifically twentieth-century Britain and Germany. His dissertation examines the role of economic advisers in shaping policy at central banks in the interwar period with a focus on monetary policy, imperial relations, and industrial affairs. More broadly, the project aims to assess the overall importance of technical expertise in shaping the structures of politico-economic governance during times of crisis.
