Jonah is an Economic and Social History MPhil student supervised by Professor Helen McCarthy. He attended Harvard University for his undergraduate degree, majoring in economics with a secondary in history. As an undergraduate, Jonah studied the growth of predominantly-female labour unions in the United States around the turn of the 20th century, with a particular focus on immigration policy within the labour movement.
At Cambridge, Jonah plans to expand on that research by examining the connections between female trade unions in Britain and those in America.
