Vegetation and Landscape History of the Hungarian Plain Researchers: Weblink: e-mail: molnar@botanika.hu
Focusing on the lowlands of Hungary, particularly the Great Hungarian Plain, this project uses historical maps, written documents, current vegetation surveys and interviews to reconstruct the vegetation patterns for past dates. This allows reconstruction of vegetation transformation, the causes of transformations, and the information to be used in nature conservation management.
